That Vintage Flair

I've never seen as many vintage kitchens until I set foot here in Los Angeles. The apartment hunt made me witness the longevity of 1950s stoves and ovens in their most interesting hues such as mint green. Modular and pre-fab kitchens are somewhat common as well, with metal cabinet doors and drawers.

Rather picky about it, I wasn't too keen on putting some elbow grease on a rental. Luckily we have found the most perfect spot near my work with refurbished kitchens and brand new hardwood flooring. An ideal setting would have herringbone parquet -- but who am I kidding! A new apartment is always exciting nonetheless. This time around there will be a legitimate dining room. So then the new hunt is on dining tables to suit my potpourri of collected mid-century chairs, and to achieve that Scandinavian vintage look.

I came across LA + Pittsburgh based interior designer Leanne Ford. Her eclectic mix is definitely something to covet, and I just adore the hodgepodge of old versus new. the amount of vintage appeal is just right. This small kitchen + dining setting is quite a stunner.
