Ohh those Danes!
Interior Stylist and Photographer Mette Wotkjaer decorates her family home in a light and natural way. Very simple and modern, no fuss, and still embracing the black + white + blonde wood theme of the house. I am amping myself up to do similar Christmas touches. Ohh, those Danes, they are just born with it!

Christmas on Stone Street
Last year Storm Sandy hit the East Coast like never before. Our apartment on Stone Street suffered having no electricity nor hot water for about 5 weeks. Downtown Manhattan was dim and cold. Wooly socks were our friends! Soon as the lights came on Christmas on Stone Street happened -- fallen Sandy branches were included in the mix, plus some DIY projects. IKEA was a great source for LED lights! We were I L L U M I N A T E D !
Added white branches and twigs for contrast.
More coasters!
Blankets and sheepskins will be closeby...

Christmas is coming!
It is my most favorite time of the year! My happiest moment in 2012 was decorating the apartment with fallen branches from the devastating Storm Sandy. It was a sad time, but it didn't stop me from celebrating the upcoming holidays to create a happy home. Below are some inspirational photos of my idea of holiday decorating. Do you like a more natural Christmas? I just adore what nature can give us...
